Essential
Sciences
Essential Sciences for Fitness Professionals encompasses the principles of exercise science. This course covers all aspects of human anatomy, kinesiology and physiology that are necessary for all fitness trainers, fitness instructors and coaches.
While there are multiple layers to this, it is the science behind movement and how movement pertains to fitness, exercise, and overall health. It utilises a scientific approach to how the human body interacts to help clients live healthier lives.
Personal Trainer
A Personal Trainer is a fitness professional who designs exercise programs and instructs exercise to help people achieve their fitness goals, which will often include weight loss, improving sports performance, or managing a health condition. They do this by working with people on a one-to-one basis and sometimes in a small group setting.
Group Fitness Instructor
Group Fitness Instructors create engaging and effective workout sessions for their participants. They design and choreograph routines that can include aerobic exercises, strength training, flexibility and sometimes mind-body activities like meditation yoga or Pilates. They motivate participants, provide clear instructions and demonstrate proper exercise techniques to ensure participants exercise safely and efficiently.
Gym Instructor
A Gym Instructor's role involves a variety of responsibilities aimed at helping clients and members achieve their health and fitness goals. Their key tasks include being able to lead a variety of simple exercise classes such as aerobics, step and body conditioning; ensuring the safety of clients and members whilst they are working out in the gym environment.They are responsible for walking new members through the facility and guiding them as to the best exercises for their needs.
